Tyler Fenley

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Fenley is the Chief Executive Officer of Crescent Pass. Previously, from 2015 to 2017, Mr. Fenley served as Vice President of Engineering at Axiom Resource Partners, a royalty acquisition company focused on the Permian and Ark-La-Tex regions, where he evaluated hundreds of acquisitions. From 2010 to 2015, Tyler was Engineering Manager at Wildhorse Resources I, an E&P company with assets in Texas and Louisiana. Here, Tyler managed operational integration on seven acquisitions valued at over $700 million with over $100 million in annual capex. Previously, from 2006 to 2009, Tyler held various roles at Devon Energy including reservoir analysis, drilling, production, and planning & portfolio modelling in the Gulf of Mexico, Ark-La-Tex, and Powder River basins. Mr. Fenley graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering and the University of Oklahoma with a Master of Business Administration.

Marcus Spillson

SVP of Land & Regulatory Affairs

Mr. Spillson is the Sr. Vice President of Land and Regulatory Affairs of Crescent Pass. Previously, from 2010 to 2015, Mr. Spillson served as Land Manager of Wildhorse Resources I, an E&P company with assets in Texas and Louisiana. Here, Marcus assessed regulatory matters and negotiated numerous acquisitions. Previously, from 2004 to 2009, Marcus was Vice President of Illinois Basin Resources where he acquired and divested over 100,000 net acres. Mr. Spillson graduated from Wabash College with a Bachelor of Arts.

Adam Basile

Controller

Mr. Basile is the VP of Accounting & Controller of Crescent Pass. Previously, from 2011 to 2019, Mr. Basile served in multiple accounting leadership roles at Devon Energy, a large public E&P company. Here, Adam managed a wide range of operational and financial accounting for many of Devon’s business units. Previously, from 2004 to 2009, Adam served in the United States Marine Corps, deploying twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant. Mr. Basile graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and The University of Oklahoma with a Master of Business Administration. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas.

Shawn McWilliams

Controller

Mr. McWilliams is the financial controller of Crescent Pass Energy and was promoted from assistant controller in November 2023. Prior to Crescent Pass, Mr. McWilliams was the controller at RPM Energy Management, a consultant to private equity firm KKR & Co., from 2012 to 2023 and controller at Ramshorn Investments, an E&P subsidiary of Nabors Drilling, from 2005 to 2012. Mr. McWilliams began his accounting career at Kerr-McGee Oil & Gas in Oklahoma City and also held accounting roles at Devon Energy early in his career.

Jake Stroud

SVP of Business Development

Mr. Stroud is the Sr. Vice President of Business Development of Crescent Pass. Previously, from 2017 to 2019, Mr. Stroud served as Chief Financial Officer of Castell Oil Company, an E&P company in the Midcon, Permian, and Rockies basins. From 2012 to 2017, Jake was the President & Founder of Axiom Resource Partners, a royalty acquisition company focused on the Permian and Ark-La-Tex regions, where he evaluated over 300 acquisitions. Previously, from 2012 to 2017, Jake was VP and Chief Financial Officer at Stroud Exploration Company, a Gulf Coast E&P company operating over 100 wells. Mr. Stroud graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and the University of Texas with a Master of Business Administration.
